Sai Sameer Pusapaty is a first-year undergraduate student at MIT. He has not decided on a major but is considering Computer Science and Engineering. His work focuses on predicting the future average fuel economy of the U.S. light-duty vehicle fleet given uncertainties in technological development and consumer preferences. By studying past trends in various vehicle attributes, he hopes to develop statistical models to determine whether the future light-duty vehicle fleet will be able to meet current climate policy targets.
